My mother is Japanese and my father is American. I was born in japan in Tsurumi, Yokohama Japan. When I was 5 I moved to San Jose California area then in the summer time visited my relatives in Japan.

O.K. when did I get here?- I came to Japan in 1996 and in April 1997-April 1998 I attended the intensive Japanese program at Soka University in Japan ("bekka" in Japanese 別科) I guess the kanji is seperate course. After finishing the Japanese course, I transferred my credits from San Jose university and I went to Temple University Japan and graduated with a B.A. in General Studies here. I graduated 2003 and took me about 10 years to get out of university since I was lacking on my study habits. But, I am happy I went through it all. And I am still here since I wanted to experience more. And that is how it all started.

I have alot of different types of work experience in Japan and also I performed with the Japan SGI Kanagawa syphonic band and now doing Japanese gajokai and I will tell you about it more later.

I too remember my YMD Days. In Evanston we were a small jr group of then Highland Park District in 1971. Brass Band, toban, shakabuku was the main theme under the guidance of Dave Grilley brass chief and Mr Richard Saski for Shakabuku in Highland Park led all the Saturday district Meetings til we became a chapter and then finally spittly up Evanston and willemtte in a chapter. So that we could grow. Those were the days. But i am still practicing now in to 2008.

Love your homepage. Hey and you have a secretary right at work. Well, now I am trying to get a simple web page up myself. I want to have it in Japanese and English and ad about Japan. I hope to have Japanese YMD to participate on this site. And if they want help with the translation would like to help on that. Put experiences about their Buddhist practice such and such.
Talking about YMD I remember when I was 13 I was in the junior high school band at school so was able to play my saxophone very well and played couple of songs with Men's division Jazz band and of course Brass Band as well. I remember a "This is America" the broadway show they had and when there was a showing in San Francisco our YMD sports festival landed on the same day. Then Shunzo Ono, Nester Torres, Onaje Gumb came to our festival as guest , and some YMD instrument players had a chance to play with them. I was one of them. I believe we played "We Love America". That was a great experience for me.

To My Lovely Friends- wishing you all a new Beginning, Happy Easter and a Sweet Weekend

The naked earth is warm with Spring,
And with green grass and bursting trees
Leans to the suns kiss glorying,
And quivers in the sunny breeze.

Those who believe in the Lotus Sutra are as if in winter, but winter
always turns to spring.
