Thank you for your encouragement! We just had a really wonderful lotus sutra discussion. Buddhahood indeed emerges from even the flames of the "lower worlds". The present moment is the focal point. To dash through the flames while keeping the load of dry hay on one's back from igniting... ... that is our proverbial charge!

I hope and chant that everyone is having a good evening.

President Ikeda writes,
"Buddhism Day By Day (145)
As you make your way home tonight, may you pause for a moment to gaze up at the night sky and let your heart communicate with the moon in wordless dialogue. Perhaps you might compose a poem and set it down in your journal entry for today. I would like you to possess such a poetic spirit."
Tonight, let's let the poetic spirit out of its cage!

I hope everyone is having a victorious day, mincing to total shreds all difficulties as, or even before, they arise!

Wow-things are happening very very fast right at the moment-it's all I can do to hang on and careen down life's slippery slopes on my karmic juggernaut.....Thanks for the wonderful messages.. As for benefits, they are right before our eyes or right around the corner, if we discover where to look! A huge benefit is happening very soon- a jam with three or four other sgi musicians. I hope someday we'll be able to play for/with all you wonderful bodhisattvas! Every day is so special. Lots of bad as well as good every day, but we must transform the negative,... somehow,... someway.... we need JUAT ONE VICTORY and we're on OUR WAY- ...I'm so efffffffing tired........better do some sleeping and some chanting!
