Happy early May 3rd. I was at the opening ceremony of Soka University of America on May 3rd, 2001. As you may know, President Ikeda spoke about May 3rd, 2001 for well over 30 years as a target date. After being in SGI most of my life and chanting toward that target date, it felt very strange when it finally came and went and what was different on that day?
President Ikeda says Education is the final endeavor of his life. I hope all SGI members can grasp what the significance of this endevor is in our own lives.
Toward that realizing that endeavor, I've put one of the lectures that was recently podcasted from Soka University of America on my music section of my profile.
It's a lecture from Professor Chalmer's Johnson, and I think it is very crucial that everyone considers his perspective on what is going on in the world right now and what we should do as disciples of sensei to lead a way to positive change all around the world.
I will try to put up other lectures from SUA soon on my music section, so check back with it.
Also you can listen to other such lectures from SUA at www.soka.edu.
Education is a lifelong endeavor we should all make a part of our lives.
Take care, Timothy
