Jill Bolte Taylor: My stroke of insight

Jill Bolte Taylor: My stroke of insight Neuroanatomist Jill Bolte Taylor had an opportunity few brain scientists would wish for: One morning, she realized she was having a massive stroke. As it happened -- as she felt her brain functions slip away one by one, speech, movement, understanding -- she studied and remembered every moment. This is a powerful story of recovery and awareness -- of how our brains define us and connect us to the world… Continue

Hi, Pat.

Thank you for your comments. Japan is beautiful during the cherry blossom season. They bloom prolificly in my neighborhood, as well as in a public garden about 30 minutes from home.

Sadly, my favorite bunny, Momo (the tan one, who was a girl), died suddenly about one month ago. She had an intestinal problem. I was extremely upset for a while. I'm over it now because I have to establish a new relationship with her soulmate Joey (also a girl) who didn't have much interest in us humans while Momo was around. Now that Momo's gone, Joey is confused and doesn't have an appetite. I have to give her enzymes for her intestines and do forced feedings twice a day. She seems to be perking up, but still barely eating on her own.

Joey could use some daimoku! Thanks!

Hi Pat!

hee hee, I AM a member... look through your friends' list to find me. In fact, your Buddha serving Tea group is the very first group on sgibuddhism that attracted me since I love the serenity that accompanies SGI buddhism.

Have a happy 4th! It's very impressive to see. I don't live in America but I'v always liked its optimistic spirit and wish you all a great day! :)
