At 7:10am on May 22, 2008, Barkha Madhok said…: hey akanksha thanks for writing in...sorry for the late response...first of all I would advice you not to worry or feel guilty abt disbelieving the Gohonzon...its very natural specially in the initial years of practice...I would like to tell you that even now after 8 years of practice I also have doubts once in a while so its alright as long as you do something to remove these doubts.Now what you can do is study a lot of Buddhism and have a very clear prayer to remove all doubts from your mind...because whatever our state of mind while chanting that is what gets reflected to the Gohonzon and your prayer will be half hearted whereas we must always have a very strong and clear prayer....read and seek Sensei....trust me you will have wonderful benefits....after all we practice Buddhism to see actual proof in our lives....so we must be victorious...defeat should never be an option...pls do stay in touch and feel free to share things as you are comfortable..after all even if we dont know each other we are 'friends in faith' and have the same mission...
