The camp lone ranger was a better costume, it was more revealing. I think it was the very small black speedo's that did it. I did look extremely gay and camp which was the idea. My son who was 14 at the time said in the car about two weeks after the party ' you must be really comfortable with your sexuality' which was brilliant as he had been very embarrassed at the time. I'll try and find a photo of the party and show you what I mean.
The best 'Oberon' i ever saw was this Shakespeare troupe from Dodgeville, WI -- the costume and the actor's interpretation was that Oberon became an unmoving tree whenever the mortals came entered the play.
