Profile Information

Location: About 1 mile from the Angel of the North, geet big bit o' steel it is too!

About Me:: I am District Leader for the South Tyne District in the wonderful North East of England.

I received gohonzon in 1986 and was in Alice! as one of the boys (scouse accent and too much make up!)

I love being a Buddhist, me.

My greatest achievement is getting my wife to chant after 22 years of not! She has always been a bodhisattva but she didn't chant until a year ago.

I embarrass my children by dressing up in the most camp costume possible for the Carnell's fancy dress parties. The photo shows me as Oberon - King of the Fairies (2007)

The camp lone ranger was a better costume, it was more revealing. I think it was the very small black speedo's that did it. I did look extremely gay and camp which was the idea. My son who was 14 at the time said in the car about two weeks after the party ' you must be really comfortable with your sexuality' which was brilliant as he had been very embarrassed at the time. I'll try and find a photo of the party and show you what I mean.

The best 'Oberon' i ever saw was this Shakespeare troupe from Dodgeville, WI -- the costume and the actor's interpretation was that Oberon became an unmoving tree whenever the mortals came entered the play.
