About Me:: In addition to creating a more just, compassionate world with my friends in SGI, I'm passionate about writing. I've had some of my poetry published, most recently in the MIT Faculty Newsletter, and this June I'm a featured poet in the Moultonborough Public Library series in New Hampshire. I'm a cat lover, and my darling Felicia just turned 13. An active member since 1973, I love to see members thrive and contribute to the SGI and society. What else? My favorite color is blue. I love to cook. I like the ocean, its constantly changing surface and unfathomable depths. I like to take photographs. I'm a huge Bob Dylan fan. I've recently become interested in jazz, and have been listening to Herbie Hancock, Garrison Fewell, and Pat Metheny. And last but definitely not least, at this point in life, I have found a man to love who loves me, and we've just moved in together with our cats, who are adjusting more easily than we thought they would.

Actually, my comment was the first on on the subject, revolving around my experience with divorce. I'm in Chgo region, you sound like an interesting person. I've read about your successes with poetry, congradulations. I too, am a writer. I write poetry, among other things, and am curious as to how I go about having something published. Could you take me around the block a little bit in that regard? I would greatly appreciate that. I will be posting a poem I wrote for President Ikeda some time soon for all to share. I am currently in process of submitting some material to a greeting card co here in Chgo. I'm working with another member, I write she designs. Hope to hear from you...............Weston

I am looking forward to read our experience!
I am fine: I do not record if I told you that I passed successfully the written and oral exams, and I am now ABD. Yes, I already started organizing my final field research trip, and my dissertation's table of contents. I am now in Chapel Hill, where I come every month to meet my advisor and participate in some of the campus activities. This time I was invited to participate to a symposium and give a presentation on my research.
I am still teaching Italina (five courses) in Bston, and started my divorce process ... Lots of chanting, of course ...
