Spring Daimoku campaign
Monday 28th April - Sunday 4th May 2008
....In brief, this campaign is for all of the members across London....An opportunity for us to deepen our faith through this week`s effort, we will increase our unity and prepare ourselves if President Ikeda should visit Europe this year....If he comes to Europe, we will definitely be able to welcome him.
This week includes two special dates; the declaration of Nam-myoho-renge-kyo by Nichiren Daishonin on the 28th April 1253 and the anniversary of the inauguration of President Toda on 3rd May 1951, and the anniversary of the inauguration of President Ikeda on 3rd May 1960.
Daily encouragement was chosen from President Ikeda`s Lectures on `On Attaining Buddhahood' as guidance for each of the seven days of the campaign. The page references are from the Soka Gakkai Malaysia version of the text which has the bright green cover.

The suggestion for everyone would be to aim to chant for an hour and half each day of the campaign whether on our own, with a friend, in our district, one of the centres or other venues being arranged - the important thing here is that we see this week as an opportunity for all of us to deepen our faith and increase our influence on the city that we live in. This week could be a great turning point - let's determine that it is.
With thanks to the respective London General Area Leaders
I hope we will have a big turn-out, last here we had over 500 people who came and enjoyed the performances. Many shakubuku resulted from that event, we hope the same for this year. Our theme is "The Seed of Change Begins With Me"
Let me know about yourself, take good care of yourself.
