R.I.P. Dad...

I just found out a couple of hours ago that my Step-Father has passed away from "hairy-celled" leukemia. Carl was a fighter to the end, he had been fighting the leukemia on and off for 30 years. He was there for me in the worst time of my life, when my Mother was killed. But, he was also there for some of my best memories. Rest In Peace Carl, you will truly be missed. I wish we had one more day together. No more fighting, not more pain.

I'll be having a memorial ceremony for my deceased parents tomorrow with my district. Never did this for my dad when he passed away 2 years ago. Mom passed away back in 1986. Spent some time earlier last night going through their pictures and old photos. What a life they led. I'm looking forward to it. Don't know what state I'll be come later Thursday evening. I'm hoping I'll at least be somewhat tearfully emotional but too much time has passed already. ;-D; ▶ Reply to This
