Hello all - My mother was diagnosed with brain cancer last week and given a time to live. Please send daimoku to her and the rest of her family (her husband Michel and my son Blaise) who are a little stressed out by the news.
Thanks.
Phillippa

Hello Carol,
My Mom is just 67 yo, and has brain cancer. One is the primary and there are 3 other masses. One in the front, one left, and one on the right side. They said Glioblastoma Multiform or GBM.
Thanks...

I will Chant for your mother. My father (Martin) Has Stage 4 Glioblastoma and has three masses. He's radiation and chemo made them grow 40%, now he is under going experimental treatment ( Nuvo Cure) if you need more info on (Nuvo Cure) Just go to You Tube their is a video. They gave my father 6 months to live. No one really knows when it's your time to go. Celebrate every moment you have left. Memories are the gifts they leave behind.Try and stay positive that's all we can do. It's hard when it's your parent. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. If you ever need to talk... I Know what your going through.

Thanks for this Annemarie... I would really like to see what they have, so if you have the You Tube link, I would appreciate. They gave my Mom 20 weeks about 4 weeks ago. We refused the biopsy as it would have just indicated whether to do chemo or radiation with no promise of better quality of life. Now I'm seeing that these increased your father's masses, I am even more relieved. How has your father been? Has he gone past the "death sentence"? I agree that no one knows your time, and my Dad and myself are prepared somewhere for something to happen any day to within a year. I'm chanting like crazy though! You keep strong too, and thanks for linking up.

Sending you an MP3 from the Eagles. Chanting for your mother reminds me a lot of my mother who passed away in 1986 from cancer. My father also two years ago come to think of it when his health started failing in April 2005. Such a debt of gratitude we owe our parents. ;-} -Dan

On the 1st June my mother passed away peacefully. She had her breakfast and leaned back to sleep. She was in the company of myself and my father and a practical nurse. I had gone to prepare for Sunday's World Peace prayer meeting and before leaving turned to say goodbye. She did not look right so I asked the nurse to check her pulse, and she had left us.
Today 14th June, we are having a service of Celebration and Thanksgiving for her life. On the 8th June we had a memorial toso for her life. She was not really with SGI, so today's service is a multidenominational, or interfaith ceremony. Only positive things.
This is my first time on this site since her passing, but I do want to thank all of you who have sent daimoku. She had no pain, and to slip away in one's sleep is truly a peaceful way to continue onwards.

Phillippa, please accept my heartfelt condolences at the passing of your dear mother. She was blessed by the love and care of her family. I will continue to chant for her until the 35th day of her passing. If you have not read the post "Between Death and Rebirth" please do. Continue to be strong and carry on....
