R.I.P. Dad...

I just found out a couple of hours ago that my Step-Father has passed away from "hairy-celled" leukemia. Carl was a fighter to the end, he had been fighting the leukemia on and off for 30 years. He was there for me in the worst time of my life, when my Mother was killed. But, he was also there for some of my best memories. Rest In Peace Carl, you will truly be missed. I wish we had one more day together. No more fighting, not more pain.

Comment by Byrd Ehlmann on July 8, 2008 at 12:11pm: Hi, Roger - I am so sorry about Carl's passing. You sound as though you will miss him terribly. My mother was in poor health for quite awhile before she died, and it finally occurred to me that she really needed a new body, and that for e to keep "hanging on" to her was not in her best interest. I still miss her, though -- sometimes, I will see something funny and I'll think "Oh, I have to tell Grace about that!" Then, I remember she's not with me on this plane of existence anymore.

I hope that wherever Carl is, that he is healthy and that he will continue to be healthy as he moves into his next manifestation - he deserves the best, right?
