hi - I joined Kotekitai in LA in Feb 1968. remember the parades, conventions, monthly Hombu meetings and the incredible training received. I LOVED being in Kotekitai and the YWD. the highlight for me was playing at Expo '70 in Osaka and , of course, meeting Pres. Ikeda.

Wouldn't it be nice to have some type of reunion throughout the nation of kotekitai who practiced many years ago like at fncc and with the ywd today?

I joined in Seattle in 1974 and performed for President Ikeda in 1975 in Hawaii. Kotekitai was a good foundation of my practice. I am sure it's the reason I continued to practice.

Hi Bee,
I read your comment. Do I know you? I live in Killeen, TX for many years! Done the Kotekitai thing also and marched around that stadium. My name is Kumi. I would love to see your kotekitaki photos when you post them.

Hi there! I was the first YWD/Kotekitai in Tulsa, OK. My parents used to take me to OKC and/or Dallas seemed like every weekend. I used to play the fife and then the flute for a little while. We moved to Tulsa in '71 when I was 10, and I was a kotekitai until I was in my late 20's. Participated in many conventions thanks to my parents. I remember marching around and around the football stadium in Dallas practicing in the summer heat as a child. Remember having to wear "the whites"? I just came across some old kotekitai photos and will post them as soon as I can. :-)

Hi people,
I'm from Brisbane, Australia, and part of a small instrumental group. at the moment we have the following players - saxophone, flute, drum, piano, violin, trumpet and clarinet. pretty funny mix.
Wondering if any of you have sheet music of SGI songs readily available in pdf or softcopy?

Would love to grab as many as I can.

hello,
I'm from Killeen, Texas. My first performance was in 1972 convention and went to EVERY one of them until we didn't have them anymore! What golden memories!
