i hope no members were hurt this past weekend? I have been chanting to bring my guest James to a discussion meeting this week. He mentioned something about wanting to kill him self in jest I hope. Anyway I hope every one is safe. They keep waring keep the kids out of the street. Well you know my ex Z- Wave , YMD type district leader son he just will not listen to mom. So I and his grandmother chant each day for his safety. We got a chance last week to get one of this friends who lives in a crime ridden hood to chant and sit with us while we do gongyo. Anyway anyone know my son the next time you see him encourage him ask him how's he is doing in College. take car.e

Hi from Bob Hasegawa. (NO FISH WAS HARMED IN MAKING THIS PHOTO. 120 MARLIN RELEASED AT CABO SAN LUCAS. Me on right, brother Aylen left, fish in the middle.) I practiced in Chi Town from '69 to '79 then moved to Vegas where I worked for the City of Las Vegas for 20 years and retired. Some of the old slow people might remember me. I see some of you all at FNCC. My "mission" is to help members chant gongyo and daimoku correctly. My free website AmericanGongyo.Org teaches perfect pronunciation, tone etc. in a line-by-line format that has been used by thousands of members worldwide. American Gongyo also has a written pronunciation guide in American English to help with the learning process. So, if your chanting is less that perfect, or you need a tune up, or you have new members, please visit AmericanGongyo.Org. Vegas News: we are building a new Kaikan to replace our rented strip mall location. Naturally we ran into SANSHO SHIMA!!!! The final outcome was better and safer for the members than the original plan. DAIMOKU STRIKES AGAIN!!! Bob

Mile-High Skyscrapers and Floating Cities That Never Were
By Rob Beschizza Write to the Author

With the space age entering its crassly commercial phase and science fiction dominated by gritty dystopian visions, you could be forgiven for giving up on the future. But not everyone has. With Dubai's 800-meter-tall Burj Dubai skyscraper almost complete, starry-eyed visions of tomorrow's cities are more popular than they've been in 50 years.

Here's a collection of promised skylines we never got to see -- and a few that may yet come to be -- as seen from the imagined eyes of those who live there.

Hi all,
Me again. Wanted to be sure the word got out about the new group forming:

Mothers of Young Children Group
Sunday April 27
10:30 am - gongyo- round auditorium

A mother's beliefs have a powerful influence on her children. In the realm of Nichiren Daishonin's Buddhism, the children of families where he mother's faith is strong invariably develop into admirable adults - Daisaku Ikeda July 19.1996

HI Everyone,

Just had to share....last week our district meeting was spearheaded by the youth! We had such a great meeting and the YWD really stepped up to support our YWD leader.

We had 32 people attend with 9 guests. The energy was incredible.
GO YOUTH.
